Assessment Methods

Several assessment methods regarding configuration management software have been developed in recent years. Perhaps the most well known and common of these is the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Based Appraisal for internal Process Improvement from the Software Engineering Institute. Examples of other assessment methods are Bootstrap, SPICE, QBA, & Progress Assessment. The methods are based on the use of questionnaires, interviews, or a combination of the two.
