Understanding what motivates employees by studying some organizational culture theories can help human resources professionals design policies and programs that will develop flourishing employees, and cause the company to thrive. Not every person is motivated by the same things. Some employees need public recognition for their achievements in order to perform at a high level. It is important that they know their efforts are appreciated by their employer. Otherwise, they may not produce quality work. Then, there are other employees who do not need recognition other than a nice pay check and great benefits. They will do the work as long as the compensation is there.
