I indicated that I felt a credit card vending machine was a great idea.

Our local hospital is constantly striving to make improvements that the public is in favor of. After you are seen in the emergency room or you have been discharged from the hospital after a stay, you get a questionaire that you are asked to fill out and return in the postage paid envelope. I took my son to the emergency room for stitches recently. He had been bitten by a dog. We had to wait for quite some time. It wasn't because they were busy. We were waiting for the owner of the dog to produce his veterinary records, so that doctors would know whether to start my son on the series of rabies shots or not. When I got the questionaire in the mail, I filled it out and mailed it in. One of the questions was whether or not I felt that the hospital should install a credit card vending machine. I indicated that I felt it was a great idea. I didn't have any cash on me the night that my son was bitten by the dog. I had my two other children with me at the hospital. Since we were there so long, we missed dinner. My children were complaining that they were hungry, and I didn't have any cash to give them so that they could get a snack from the vending machine. The ATM was out of order, so I couldn't get any cash from my checking account either. The kids had to wait until we left the hospital to get something to eat. If there had been a vending machine that accepted credit cards, I would have been able to use my check card to get the kidks a snack.
